Star sign: Saggitarius. She is cheerful and enthusiastic about people and life and her dinner.

Interests: Hanging out with her family (Mel and Andy) is her absolute favorite thing closly followed by eating, running on the beach, driving, eating, napping and eating again

Best features: Smiles like no other and is absolutely everybodies friend

Worst features: definitely food obsessed

Size: pretty much perfect for her age if I say so myself!!

From her humble beginnings as a pound puppy many years ago, Lady now enjoys a life of comfort, luxury and now fame with Mel (one of our vet nurses) and Andy. Lady is featuring in this weeks profile because Lady is also a bit of a good samaritan. Lady is a blood donor for us here at the clinic.

Blood transfusions are not a frequent occurrence in our clinic, but when the need arises then its generally urgent. In Lady’s case she was more than happy to donate a pint of blood to save the life of someones beloved canine friend.

Canine blood donors need to be over 20 kgs in weight, between 1 & 8 years of age and in good physical health. Currently our clinic has a few dogs on our donor register but we are always after more healthy canine candidates that can maybe one day help out in an emergency.
